About Running for me is the main core of everything I do for stamina and strength. I participate in obsticle course racing, boot camps, HIIT, Grit fit, mountain biking and sea swimming and it is running that makes all of them things less hardwork and far more easier to do better at them.

About I started to enhance my fitness as my job didn’t allow a regular gym session. What I love about it is challenging myself and improving my times on set routes. After a long day off stress a run sets me up for a calm evening. I love the views that car routes never take you and just the music loud and no one around.

About I’ve been running since 2020 with my first marathon being the inaugural Hundon Trail Marathon which was a real baptism of fire. Since then I have run a number of other trail marathons and ultra races, with my current goal to run my first 100K race next year.

I’ve discovered over the last couple of years that I have a real love trail running, even when it means getting up and out on the trails during those dark, cold, wet and muddy and winter months.

About: I’ve been running for a while once recovered from mental scars of secondary school cross country runs in January – took decades! Have 13 marathons and one ultra (100k along the South Downs Way) under my belt. Have tended to be a road runner but more so now loving the different challenges and headspace trail running brings. Definitely of the philosophy now of enjoying the run, rather than worrying about what others think of my time. It’s taken a while to get in that space. Next stop another go at the South Downs Way later this month. Then thinking about what I can do to fill the winter months.
