About: Been running since school. Went AWOL in 20s and 30s back on it in 40s, hopefully with a big finish approaching 50! Lakeland 100, Lakes in a Day, Nene Valley Way and Rutland Round have been highlights running. 3 FKTs currently. And currently about a third way around the English border, staged over a couple of decades.
Cape Wrath Ultra booked for May 2022.
I enjoy the serendipity of running beyond marathon. You kind of know what you are going to get to 42km but beyond that – anything goes? I have been known to talk to hedgehogs when the hallucinations start!

About: Started running about 8 years ago after having my son to loose weight and be more active. Became addicted to racing and pushing distance and speed. Mostly ran road races prior to moving to UK  but after discovering so many trails here I just love being on a trail and in the nature. Unfortunate with COVID, lack of races and not the best weather my running motivation has suffered. Trying to run more, get back on a trail and hopefully feel the high of finish line!

About: I’ve been running for 15 years but it’s only the last few years I discovered trail running and it’s literally changed my life. I was forever chasing PBs, now I’m breathing in the sea air, running through forests and fields. I love everything about trails. From the leg zapping ploughed fields or shingle beaches to flying down a grassy hill. And as an added bonus, that girl that said she’d never do a marathon has done 6 and 2 ultras!

About: I ran at county level in school cross country competitions but stopped and didn’t run again until the first lockdown some 25 years later!
It’s fair to say I’ve fallen back in love with running as I’m now running HMs for fun and probably run 10km 2-3 times a week..
I’ve become a member of Vegan Runners Uk and take pride in representing  the vegan moment positively by showing it’s possible to be fit and healthy on a plant based diet.
Running gives me a sense of achievement, pride and self-worth and I’m excited to see where my running journey may take me…
I tend to mainly road-run, but I absolutely love forests, nature, trees etc – hence joining. I’d like to learn more about trail running and incorporate it where possible into my routine.

I have done over 20 half marathons since 2012 (in person) and 2 of those were on trials and 5 full marathons. I love the running community, accountability and inspiration! I have done runs in 6 states in America and 5 different countries. I have had two girls since I’ve started running so I’ve done lots of stroller running as well!

I got into running and over time realised how amazing it was as I used to have epilepsy and my fits stopped as I was getting more active. I also just love getting out there on the trails seeing new places and running on all sorts of terrain.

I started running after giving up playing football. Quickly fell in love with training, and just having the ability to get out, some time for myself whilst keeping fit. Whilst training for my 2nd marathon I decided I’d try run a marathon for each letter of the alphabet. Whilst ticking these off I started to include dome trail runs abd marathons which I now prefer to road running.
